It's a semi-clean brake. The shaft snapped off right at the end. Its a Grafalloy shaft and a Titleist 906F2 3wood

  1. Sorry, that shaft is only good for a 7 wood now. That 906 is a bore-through head, meaning it just broke about 2" above the tip (about 2 flex ratings stiffer for the same weight and length club).

    You need a new shaft.

  2. club is still under over the counter warrenty . manafactures defect . it does happen . not often , but still does . dont give up on the club . just tahe to any retail , or pro shop . they will contact titleist . recieve a refund number . since titlest , hit them up for at the very least a dozen golf balls , and a hat . who knows you may recieve more . thank god you were not hurt when this happened .

  3. you will have to put on new shaft and you should look around because you should not pay 200 bucks for that shaft

  4. I had a shaft break there.  It is possible to get fixed, but would not be advisable.  Most likely it would break again.  Golf Smith is your best bet at getting it assessed.

  5. The only way to reuse the shaft would be to clean out the hosel and insert the shaft. If you were to that your club will be about an inch shorter and much stiffer. You will most likely need to get a new shaft. $200 seems like a bit to much to pay, you can look around see if you can find a better price.
