  1. Your daughter is doing perfectly fine.  If she was still hungry she would let you know.  My daughter is seven months and this is what she eats in a day:

    730-830am: 8 oz bottle

930am: mum mum crackers or arrow root cookie (as a snack if she seems hungry.  I tried to offer her cereal but she never wants it, she just wants to self feed herself)

11-12: 2.5 tbsp vegetables + 2 tbsp fruit (with water to drink)

    12.30pm: 8 oz bottle

2.30pm: snack (gerber puffs, mum mum cracker or arrow root cookie) if she seems hungry

    4-5pm: 2.5 tbsp vegetables + 2 tbsp fruit + 8 oz bottle

7.30pm: 2-3 tbsp baby cereal mixed with 2.5 oz formula + rest of 8 oz bottle (then she goes to bed for the night)

We are also slowly introducing little pieces of what we eat (making sure they are "gummable" of course, because she doesn't have any teeth) during lunch and supper if she seems interested, because soon I want to start feeding her what we eat instead of jarred baby food.

All babies are different, and if she isn't losing weight and is a content baby (doesn't cry cause she's hungry) then she is getting enough food.  Your doing great.

  2. Usually the b*****s hurt, when the body is overproducing milk, but by the time your baby is 71/2 months your b*****s should not be hurting, because your body has regulated the amount of milk it needs to produce according to how often your little one nurses. If you're nursing her every 2-5 hours (really I'd say 4, but because you're also giving her jars, I extended the time a bit) and she's wetting and pooping regularly then there is really nothing to worry about. especially if she's not losing any weight, and continuing to gain on (or above) her growth curve.

  3. Wow, two to three jars of baby food! My seven months old hardly eats one. I mostly nurse him, and at the last visit a week ago he gained two pounds. If your baby is content, then you have nothing to worry about.

  4. Don't worry. If she was still hungry she would definitely let you know! 2-3 jars sounds just about right for a 7 month old, especially if she is still breastfeeding.

  5. Sounds like she is quite content.  It would b a concern if she were the opposite though, crying alot, being unsettled, not sleeping as she should n not gaining weight.  By what ur saying, she sounds happy n healthy, so u shouldn't worry.  Cheers
