Is my 800 meter run time good enough for college track?

What 800 meter run times do colleges look for, this was my first year running track, and I USE to get an 800 time of 2:21, and then narrowed down to 2:17 ALL THE WAY to 2:15, can anyone tell me what my time well most be likely next year, and tell me the 800 run times colleges, ANY COLLEGES look for, THANKS!!!!

  1. Well if you keep running and improving, you can probably hit a college track worthy time by next year, I don't think you will be the best on the team or anything, but you can probably run college track.


  2. No. Usually colleges select the BEST for competition and that time isnt going to get it done. I'd say it will need to be under 2 min. or 2:05 at the most.

  3. Not good enough for competitive college track, unfortunately. I'd think you're looking at below 2:10...

  4. if you work really hard...you'll probably get to 2:05. Not good enough for college. most colleges are deep under 2:00

  6. no they would be far off.. you couldnt even make a final in my country for the 12-13 year olds...

    for college you need to be like 2:05.00 or under
