i fully charged the Zen V plus one night and then gave it to a friend to use. He plugged it into his computer overnight. Then when he went to try and turn it on the next morning, nothing happened.

I have tried pressing the Reset button and also pressing the power key while pressing play to reformat the hard drive. When I plug it into the computer it does not register as a device. Basically, no matter what I do, the display remains black. I have tried other power adapters and USB cables with no luck.

  1. I have had a Zen before, and mine had the same problem. I had a Neon, though.  You know how sometimes iPods die like this? I think I read somewhere that it's because the battery is dead... like completely dead and not rechargeable. I think that you may be able to send it in to Zen. I'm not quite sure. I didn't bother fixing mine, lol. If you can't send it in, then I don't think there's any hope for you :(
