Is my Dad crazy for watching p**n - while his family is sitting right there in the room?

Is he crazy? I'm an adult but I don't care for my Dad ordering p**n movies while my Mom and I are sitting in the room talking or reading. I mean we're already in the room and he knows we're there. I usually just walk off because I can't stand seeing my own Dad watch that stuff. It's like he doesn't care we're there.

Can anyone else relate?

Well this made me laugh. Its actually kinda funny and only shows your dad really doesnt care what you think. Most likely he was in control of every situation in the house. It seems he knows what he can use to run you off when he really doesnt want to be around you or to even hear you for that matter.

Pornography is the quickest ways to ruin a relationship. So what is going on is really unfortunate.

wow, its one thing if he just watching it. but watching it in front of his wife and kids is just wrong!! tell him how you feel and if e doesnt get, just leave the room. he might not stop right away but at least he will know that its bothering his family. good luck!

What an a$$. I'd say rude as opposed to crazy. Although I suppose if you have never told him you don't appreciate it then he might just be blind enough not to realize it. Does it bother your mom? How weird.

I won't say crazy, but I do think that there is a line and that he has definitely crossed the line. I can understand if he was alone or even with his wife, but to have your kid (even if your an adult) is creepy.

he dosen't seem to have much respect for either one of you. maybe you both should tell him how it makes you feel. and if that dosen't work then i guess leaving the room is your only option. I will never understand how a husband and Dad could do something like that with their family in same room. My brother used to call his daughter nasty names so i guess its a man thing. good luck

umm no i cant relate  partys, because i hardly  ever see my dad, and partly because i know he doesnt watch that stuff and its just disturbing
