Is my Girl Friend being honest ?

Question

She has phone calls from ex-boys friends and will not talk to them when I am around and rings them at work, I ask why do you not just tell them you are going out with me and get it over and done with? She never does and its still going on.

I'm still friends with my exes but they are my history and I don't want them in any aspect of my relo so I don't make my bf worry by talking to them when he is around.... I have no feelings like that for them but we had amicable break ups and they are good friends and great to talk to coz they understand us a bit better than most.... so yeah

I wouldn't worry but if you can't help yourself there is this thing called communication... i.e. talk to her about it and let her know it upsets you and what not and if it's really extreme ask her not to talk to them anymore or request she takes the calls when in your presence

If your girlfriend has something to hide from you concerning her ex-boyfriends then something is up mate. I would question her and confront her with it. If you meant enough to her she would knock it off.

When my ex contacted me on Myspace I nervously added her, then after the first flirty message, despite her knowing I was with a girl I love very much, I blocked her.

I personally would want my girl to do the same. if she kept talking to her exes and hiding it from me i'd feel nervous and jelous which is not the type of emotion she should create on me. Same with you.

Sorry but it sounds like your girlfriend doesn't really care about you. She could be making a fool of you. Will you tolerate her not even telling them she has a new boyfriend? She should be proud of you and happy to say to anyone she is with you. It is up to you the standards you set in a relationship, but ask yourself does this girl really show devotion to you, and that your relationship is important? Don't let her make a fool of you. Maybe I'm wrong coz I don't have all the details of the situation, but that's just my take on it.

well, let me talk here as a woman..

she and her ex might be friends still.. well, they still could,right? but for your question if she is being honest? we dont know the whole story, how can we tell. but if they are just friends thats ok.. after all they've been part of her life.

of course she must not talk to them when your around, she needs to respect you.

well you should know for yourself if she really can be trusted. that will give you peace. and you need to make sure that she really loves you. they are exboyfriends as what you said, you are the present so you have all the right to know.

It sounds like she's keeping her options open.  If it doesn't work with you then she has someone else to fall back on.  How would she feel if you were doing the same thing with some of your exes?

If your relationship is relatively new... like say 4 - 6 weeks old perhaps your girlfriend chooses not to share details with anyone.It is yours and her business don't you think?  Let your relationship stand the test of time and don't worry about x boyfriends wow at least she is not hanging off the phone for hours talking to them at home it is hers and your space isn't?   Don't forget x male friends without a romantic tie are friends for life too.  We all need friends.
