Is my Ipod completely ruined?

Somehow, I was in the bathroom and put my ipod down for just a minute and didn't realize that there was a huge puddle on the surface of the shelf~! So, the water got all over my ipod and now it won't even turn back on. Am I doomed to buy another one?

try a blow dryer.  It works with phones!

warranty when you bought it? or do you still have your receipt? My partner ( believe it!) Has gone through 4 ipods over the last 2 or so years,when hes contacted apple they have either repaired or replaced. Contact them and find out what you can do( i suggest you dont tell them of the water incident) it just stopped working.....

i'm not sure if it applies to things as expensive as ipods but when a video game is wrecked you can take it to any walmart at any time even if you bought it at some other store and tell them you bought it there recently and it just stopped working, i don't garrenty it, but if take it in you might get a new one, it's worth a shot but unlikely to work without a warrenty.

same thing happened to mine. i left it in my backpack which was left out in the rain and when i brought it inside the thing wouldn't turn on. i had to get a new one. if it doesn't turn on in a week it's a gonner.

by the way don't plug it into your computer or the wall, the electricity will fry it.
