Is my Ryukin sick or not ???

Hi again....

I know people say my Ryukin got Dropsy but he is fine....swimming around and stuff and yesterday night he was haging up-side down but when I go near to see him, he seems fine. He doesn't do that alot but I once when I didn't know that u can't feed them bread and I feeded them and all of them seem fine accept the Ryukin , I know it gives them constipation but I dunno if tht affect the swimming....Is he playing or having fun....if anyone knows if hes fine or sick please help cuz hes one of my favorite Goldfish.

  1. its not dropsy a dropsy when its body got bloated and fins spreads out.  Swimbladder disorder its suck too much air in its body.  Try dieting that Ryukin if he will be alright then its from the food not inborn.


  2. Mine used to do that alot.  Of course he was suicidal and crazy... but u might wana check the temperature of where ur keeping him if its too hot that might be why.  Thats how mine died.....

  3. ryukin-fancy goldfish plus bread which holds a lot of air, it needs feeding shelled cooked peas for a couple of days, nothing else, this should push the air out of its digestive tract and hopefully this will cure him. why on earth would you feed your fish bread? fancy goldfish should be fed sinking pellets, shelled peas, brine shrimp, and have access to some greenery such as a live plant in the tank for them to tuck into. good luck helping him out.
