  1. Strive for a score of 1800.In that way, you will have challenged yourself to rise above mediocrity- being just good enough.Aim to be abnormal- that is better than good.Create an insatiable thirst for excellence and read Desiderata.

  2. SATs are overrated, but you might want to keep practicing.

  3. SAT scores are not the only way to get into college.  Admissions counselors look at your high school grades, your high school involvement, volunteer work, application essays, some do interviews, etc.  It is over the 61st percentile, so that wouldn't be a bad score.  I'd keep studying though, if you want more options and more scholarships.  (Higher scores = higher scholarships!)

  4. take the ACT as well.

it'll help with college app's & don't worry about the SAT.

  5. That's better then my SAT scores in 7th grade.  I had like a 1590 or something like that.  I would try to score a little better near the 1800's b/c that's what some collages want...

  6. It's not horrible, but it's not great either. Just buy some prep books, and do more practice exams. You'll eventually get accostumed to the question types, and you'll be in the test taking mindset. Try the ACT as well. Don't worry too much about it, just study some more, and your score will improve. Good luck.

  7. you could probably get in with that score
