Is my SAT score good enough?

I got an 1880 on a practice test (650 critical reading, 640 writing, 590 math (yeah, I know it's low).

I took the SAT and got 2200 (800 critical reading, 800 writing, 600 math).

Then I retook it and got 2270 (800 critical reading, 780 writing, 690 math)

Is my SAT score good enough to get into UW in Seattle? What other schools should I consider applying to? Thanks.

  1. You dont add the scores in writing... You only add Reading and math... and I think your scores without the writing scores are good

  2. if u want to have a better chance of gettin in , apply to a smaller school and attend for a semester then transfer, colledges dont like to accept ppl with mid range scores because they want to keep their drop out rate low, so try the trick i mentioned and uu'l find it much easier to get in

  3. ur scores are wut  uc looking for so im pretty sure (not guarantteed)

    that'll u get in!..good luck =)

  4. your scores are fantastic.  if your grades from school are up to par as well you shouldnt really have any trouble getting into your school of choice. good luck!

  5. In between.

  6. It's good enough for Seattle, but that's including writing. Even w/o writing included I think you'll get in, but your math score counts a lot more than your reading to admissions officers in most cases. Colleges vary based on your interests---I'm not sure if you're applying to UW b/c you live in Washington or if you like their programs--but you could get into elite east coast schools like Penn and Brown if you'd try.

    Hope this helps.
