In case of domestic air travel in india the booked ticket can be cancelled 3 hours before departure and it depends upon airlines to airlines for refund procedure.If you are from india and are travelling any domestic sector in india the low cost carriers like spicejet,indigo,go air and deccan the tickets of these carriers are always refundable irrespective of fair they charge.Carriers like Jetlite,AirIndia(Domestic),Jet Airways and Kingfisher put thier tickets on non-refundable basis if thier tickets are booked in lowest fares.In case of international you have to cancel the tickets 48-72 hrs in advance before departure otherwise some airlines make tickets non-refundable and some charge some fees as no-show for pessanger.please check the respective airlines for more details
