this is in a living room in a condo, so the room is about 1.5 -2 times larger than a standard house bedroom. do u think this is good?

Next time ask the question before you buy.  Pro Logic II should be broken down into "Pro Logic II Movie" and "Pro Logic II Music" when you're flipping through your options.  Be sure when playing music you have it on PL II Music, or it won't sound as good as you'd hope.  Might even be better off just playing it straight up 5 channel stereo, which is less desirable.

Will be ok for movies.  Won't be great for music but for the price its about as good as you are going to find.  Pioneer usually makes very good receivers I'm not really sure about their speakers but if you aren't thrilled down the road you can add a pair of good bookshelf speakers or something.  If you don't have surroundsound now you will be happy when you get it home.

Depends on how loud you like to listen to music or movies.  It also depends on how particular you are to how your speakers sound.
