  1. While it depends somewhat on her hunger and weight, anything from 24-50 ounces would be normal for a 5 month old.

If she is refusing her bottles, I would stop the cereal.  She doesn't need it yet, and it's MUCH more important that she take adequate milk (which contains the calories, fats and nutrients her body requrires) than they she get early practice eating from a spoon.

  2. they say to take the weight of your baby and multiply by2.5 and thats how many oz you baby should eat in a 24 hour period

  3. moms always ask is my baby enough but what they really need to ask is if there baby is growing enough, if they are growing up to par then they are getting adequate nutrition. My baby took a little break from nursing at 6 months, about a week later he got teeth and then began nursing regularly.

  4. Make sure her cereal is in between the times she would have a bottle.

  5. I just had a baby and i asked my doctor that same question and she told me that i should feed my baby 2oz of breast milk(or formula) every 2 hours but when they are new borns you should breast feed them!It builds up their immune system.
