so i got my b button pierced like 5 days ago. I clean it twice every day by doing the sea salt soak for 5 minutes and i clean it with antibacterial soap. but like two days ago it started getting red on the top it kinda looks like a little bruise. It doesn't itch and puss doesn't come out. Is it some kind of minor infection or is it nothing?

  1. That's definitely not an infection. That sounds like a blood blister, which man be easily fixed by applying hot compresses for 10 minutes, three times a day. To do this, wet a washcloth with scalding hot water, as hot as you can stand. Then, wring the cloth out (this cools it slightly, so it won't hurt your hands) and place the cloth over the blister and press lightly for 10 minutes.

If this doesn't work, ask your piercer what to do :]

  2. they usually stay red for a while. that is one of the longest healing piercings. As long as you are cleaning it properly, you shouldnt have much to worry about.

  3. mine  never got red at all...

try this get a shower and buy dove soap and soap up the rag and then once its all soapy squeeze the rag out on your stomach so the soap runs down and then push up and down on the bar bell so the soap goes in the hole and then let clean water hit it and then push up and down again it should fix the problem honestly cause thats what my body piercer told me to use! and i almost had mine for 2 yrs and its fine

  4. Totally normal. In fact, some people bruise if the piercer uses clamps, which most do for navels. And it would be normal for that not to show up for a few days. The redness is normal, too, as long as it's not really inflamed and hot to the touch or anything like that. I would recommend longer sea salt soaks, about 10-15 minutes 2-3 times per day. But everything sounds normal. Just remember not to try to change it too soon!

  5. its prolly nothing i mean you did just shove a piece of metal through your body so i would say that it is going to be a little red for a while
