Well I've had my bellybutton peirced for 3 months and a few days now and I've changed it a few times not more than 5 and its super duper swollen. I have a outie bellybutton and when I got it peirced it started looking like an inie , and for the past week now it looks worse than my normal outie and then I changed it today because it was swollen and I guess im allergic to the stainless steel so I put in the one they gave meh at the tattoo shop and when I was putting it in I swear a freaking waterfall of puss was coming out for like a minute and a half then 30 mins after I put it in I moved the ring to the side and it started bleeding like a heavy flowed period and btw I clean it like 3 times a day and somedays I do forget to...I hope that enough info for an answer please

  1. It could be its infected i know i could not have stainless steal i had to have titanium ,

Get some antibiotics from your doc clean it with salty water and dont keep taking it out you are going to introduce infection into it

  2. Did your piercer not inform you of the fact that you should not even attempt to change the ring for at least 6 months? I had my belly button pierced when I was 18 (so 4 years ago), and I did not change it for a year. If you are having a ton of puss, and blood coming out then you need to take it out completely and just let it heal up. How can you even stand the pain of taking it out, or even having it in? You should without a doubt see a doctor about this! You should not get pierced if you are not going to follow instructions or at least do some research on it before hand.

  3. I had my belly button pierced for a few years - in the beginning it is best not to change it until it is completely healed. Since you think you may be allergic to the ring you got at the shop, try a high quality curved barbell (better for healing than rings) and keep it clean. Wear loose clothing and dab a little antibacterial ointment on it. Do not squeeze out puss/blood. If it gets worse - call the doctor! You may just need a little antibiotic and that way you can keep the piercing. Good luck!

  4. I seriously think you need to see a doctor. I know that is the thing to do  nowadays, but everything isnt good for everybody.

  5. Why did you change it so early?

    You should have waited.

Have you cleaned any of the piercings before putting them in there?

You probably do have an infection, yes.

    Put sea salt on it.

    NOT antibacterial solution.

You can't "forget" to clean it.

    It's a piercing.

You NEED to keep it clean.

    Good luck.

  6. oh my god take the piercing out right now. If there was puss it is def. infected and your body is rejecting the piercing.  If you dont take it out you are crazy but no matter what you should only have surgical steel jewelry in that thing NO STAINLESS OR STIRLING.
