Is my best friend and his fiance using me?

A year ago I got a divorce and lost everything. My friend and his family opened up their home and allowed me to stay there for $450.00 a month. This friend has also helped me over the years whenever I needed it. I also helped him fulfill his dream by getting out his 90 page comic book graphic novel. In order to do that he cash out his pension and quit his job, that was last June. Since that time I have been supporting him financially and otherwise to give him the time to promote his graphic novel. However, instead of doing that he plays video games all day and rides around with his girlfriend using a credit card that I promised to pay on if it were used to promote his book. Since hooking up with his girlfriend he has completely changed and has become more arrogant and irresponsible. His fiance now lives in the same house with us, and she has taken over, and since I am supporting him, now I am supporting her as well. Is my best friend and his fiance using me?

  1. with the money you are using to support him and his so called fiance you could be using that money to move out and get your own place. It sounds as though he is using you!! which is sad because when he really needed you, you were actually there to help him out...it seems as though you are his mother instead of his friend. You need to talk to him while his good for nothing fiance is not around. You need to approach him as a friend...and if he doesnt get the hint just move out and leave him high and dry!! sorry to say but he did this to himself...

  2. DUH!!!!!

  3. Prepare to move out.

Store valuables outside the house (safe in a bank?)

    Block the credit card.

Initially it looks like you have had a good understanding, but the change in behaviour (as well as lying to you about the CC) doesn`t bode well.

Time to get on your own.

  4. Sorry,  but he is taking way to much advantage.  Consider talking to him before things get worst.

  5. It sounds like it.  Talk to him without her there, and ask whats going on.  Be prepared to move out.
