Question:

Is my betta Okay i think i hurt her!! please help?

I was spawning my betta's and i was doing everything i was soposed to do. i had them in a ten gallon tank half full and a half a stirofoam cup and filter and everything and they where getting to rough and i tried to get her out wiht my net but she swam in between the tank and the net and i squished her!! she semms slow and lethargic and im sacred she is going to die how can i help her she also has some ripped fins and im really sad i will never breed bettas again!!

  2. Well... unless you literally "squished" her, as in guts coming out, then she should be fine, I did that to my fish all the time (accidentally of course) and they never died from that.

  3. The only thing you can do is give her time to recover.  Keep her tank dark and try not to disturb her, and hopefully she'll come around.  She's probably stressed from the whole ordeal.

    And yes, breeding bettas is not something to do on a whim.  Now you see what happens when you don't properly condition your fish, and why so many of us try to discourage people from doing it.
