  1. if you are really worried about her weight since she is only 11, try inviting her to play sports or going to the gym. maybe you can offer her healthy snacks suck as yogurt with fruits instead of ice cream. or make her try healthier snacks to replace the unhealthy ones

  2. kids can gain weight and then have a growth spurt.  I have an 8  year old that is 95 pounds and 4 foot 9 inches tall.  She doesn't eat all the time and generally eats healthy things like lots of fruit.  She may be getting ready to grow taller.  I am sure her parents take her to a pediatrician on a regular basis, and if the doctor was concerned,he would mention it and  then perhaps she needs to watch her food intake.  My daughter's doctor has said nothing about decreasing the intake of what she eats. A lot of things could be going on, she is about to reach puberty, and develop, and anybody who isn't her doctor shouldn't be making an issue out of her weight gain. if she plays sports, muscle weighs more than fat and so again that isn't a concern.. Ice cream cones every other day isn't going to make her fat....
