Is my bike too old for FMX?

i do fmx and i was wondering if a 2001 RM 250 is too old for that or do i get a newer one?

It might not be to old, but its a tough enough game anyway, without having an old machine.

No, as long as your bike runs strong, and has good suspension you should be fine.

Dude its only to old when one of the following things happens

1. it doesn't work

How could it be too old? Youre not racing youre jumping. Seems to me if you had a 85 model and it ran crisp enough and the suspension worked fine it would be good to go. Its only got to work well enough to do the tricks you perform.
