Question:

Is my board right for me?

I have a Nitro Titan board that i'm just using for this season. It is 156 cm long. i am 5'6 and about 130 pounds. my friends said that the board is a little too long for my height. i do basically freeride all mountain and a little park. i have ride ls bindings on them,

  1. it probably is a bit long for you but are you still growing? if so you should bne fine but if not, use it for the season then i would reccomend getting one that fits a bit better. general rule of thumb is that short board is for park, long for freeride, and for ranges of height, you wont it to range from up to your eyes to right below your chin.


  2. it should go to your nose if that is where it goes its perfect but it can also be better shorter i had a board down at my chin and it was so much easier than when it was bigger

  3. I don't think so. I'm almost 5'4" and my board is a 149cm. If your still growing you should be fine. Longer boards are used for free ride and shorter boards are used for parks, if you mostly free ride I don't think you'll have a problem. It might be harder doing rails with a longer board but its possible. Use it for the rest of this season and see how it goes, you might want to look into getting a little smaller board =)

  4. You want a board that comes up to about your chin.  That is a good indication.  Unless you are riding powder you don't need a long board.
