Question:

Is my boss flirting? After a series of events I am wondering!?

My boss is extremely friendly and nice, but sometimes I wonder if his behavior is inappropriate. Let's see, he stares at me, looks me up and down, winks at me and recently gave me a side hug without asking. This may be nothing, but it recently made me a bit uncomfortable. It's not blatant harassment, so I haven't reacted yet. Should I just ignore this or have a talk with him? I think he is a good person overall, but I just get this energy that he is having some issues. By the way he is much older than I and married, just as I am, so that's why I don't want to make any bad assumptions.

  1. Haha, oh boy. Well, you're right for not making immediate assumptions, since he's married. But in business situations it's a little harder and more awkward to deal with. If he continues to behave like this and the "contact" escalates, I would definitely address it with him. The thing that concerns me the most is him looking you up and down, because that's a red light that he may be interested.

  2. he is either a g*y friendly guy

    or

he wants to sleep with you

  3. I'm not sure we can tell from that description alone, but why not make a habit out of randomly talking good about your husband right in front of him and see if it abates?

  4. ask him -that's the only way you will know. if he gets nervous or starts stuttering then you know he is crossing the line .

  5. be careful....he may be doing this because u may come off as a little flirtatious yourself....but you just don't realize it...same thing happened to me...it died down as soon as looked more serious at my job

  6. Well girlfriend keep your third eye on him.

If you feel that  he is, then he probably is.

Wait until you have clear facts that he is really truly flirting and then i would file a  sexual hassment charge on him. Or   speak with The corporate office, don't even go to HR ( most of them  are friends with supervisors and managers who work in that setting).

Peace and Blessing and be safe!

  7. well ignore him right now but if it continues then have a talk with him!

    hope this helps!

    xox

  8. well i wouldn't be too worried about it right now but if he keeps up this behavior i would talk to your boss about it and if he still persists quit your job or possibly talk to the police about it and file a report
