Question:

Is my boyfriend lying about his feelings?

My boyfriend of almost 3 years is currently in jail. We communicate over the phone and through the mail. On the phone he is almost always grumpy and mad at me for something I have done but in his letters to me he is so sweet and caring. He says he is proud of me and loves me and misses me and can't wait to come home and relieve my stress. I just don't know which is which. I mean I know being in jail sucks and he can't control what is going on outside but why does he have to take his anger out on me? I have always stuck by him and never cheated or even thought about cheating but he is always insecure and thinks I am up to something. I don't know I just wanted to see if I am just overreacting or if he is really playing with my emotions.

  1. He is probably mad at himself for ending up in jail and taking it out on you, plus you are right about him being insecure, also when you talk to him on the phone it probably makes him even more mad that you are on the outside living your life. I think you should tell him how you feel about the way he acts on the phone, and tell him that you want to talk to him less on the phone until he starts showing you more respect. Communication is very important in a relationship, if you two cannot communicate well and you cannot be upfront with him about your feelings, then it will develop into a big snowball affect that will just continue to get worse. I know you have been with him a long time, but his distrust is not healthy either, unless you are sure you are truly happy with him don't stay with him just because you have been with him so long.

  2. I have one question for you:  Why would you want to date somebody who is in jail?  If he is in jail he is not a good person, if you know what I mean.  Dump his fat a&&.
