Is my burton clash, directional or twin tipped?

hey guys, any experts out there who can tell me if my burton clash is twin tipped or directional. the internet says its directional but i can ride fakie easily when i ride. also some sites say it has a tapered shape. what does this mean. Just curious. thanks

  1. Directional. Tapered shape means narrower in the tail width than the tip. Therefore, not a true twin. But it has a turned up tail that allow you to ride fakie.


  2. Twin-tip just means that both tips are exactly the same shape down to the millimeter, and the stance is exactly in the middle of the board.

    Yeah, you can fakie a directional board, but the directional boards usually have a slightly pointier tip and an offset stance, that is, a stance slightly farther from the front tip than the back one, so that the nose of the board is longer (for powder).

  3. It's slightly directional.  The ends are designed so that you can ride fakie and they look similar but are differently sized and might have a bit of different flex to them.  Also the bindings on a twin tip are prefectly centered whereas on a directional board they're a bit toward the back.
