Is my camera heat damaged? or something else?

my camera is a sony cybershot. and it used to work fine but now, if i take pictures outside..it doesnt work...like i went to the beach and tried to take pictures & even with the flash, the pictures turns completely white... and then indoors, without the flash, it turns black with neon colors, or its tinted orange. it was NEVER like this until recently... what do i do?

It sounds like the exposure is way to long, like you put it in night shot mode or something.  Try these:

1.  Make sure it's on a regular setting like auto, not night or fireworks.

2.  Make sure the ISO is reasonable like 200, not 1600.

3.  Make sure the white balance is reasonable like daylight, not custom.
