Is my camera lens ok?

i was cleaning the lens with a lens tissue that is safe for camera lenses and wont damage the lens coating. on the edges of the lens, there is a little bit of residue....(i think it's common to get that when wiping ur camera lens with a lens cleaner, as in the residue is "glowing" purple or blue when u wipe ur camera with lens cleaner....)...if i leave the residue there until i clean my camera again (which is going to be until the lens is very dirty), will the dried up residue damage the lens?

  1. Why are you so obsessed with the lens on your camera?   This must be the 10th question you have asked about it.   Use your microfiber cloth and keep your lens clean.  I've had my Canon Powershot for over two years and haven't had to clean it yet.  What are you doing to yours that makes it so dirty?

Quit worrying about your lens and get out there and start taking pictures!

  2. no it shouldn't its meant for the lens but i still would ask your local camera shop

  3. It should be fine, Jason. Leave it alone and enjoy your camera. Summer is almost over.. Go take some good photos and upload some to http://www.flickr.com , will you?
