Is my car cd player ipod ready?

I have a pioneer DEH-1500 and it has red and white input things in the back and im wondering if i buy an auxiliary connector could i plug it into one of those then my ipod?

  1. Check the manual or call a stereo shop that deals in Pioneer .


  2. Your radio is not iPod ready. The red and white RCA connectors on the back are pre-amp outputs for use with a separate amplifier.

    The simplest way to play your iPod is with an adaptor that plugs into the antenna jack on your radio. Because it does not rely on broadcasting the signal through the air, static and interference that can be a problem with the FM transmitters is eliminated.
