Is my car leaking or burning oil?

I have a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta and my oil pressure light keeps coming on. I noticed a puddle under my car about 2 weeks ago and my oil pan bolt was loose. I tightened the bolt but my oil pressure light continues to come on. I checked my oil level last night and I had no oil whatsoever in my car. I added oil again but there hasn't been any puddles under my car since I tightened the oil pan bolt. I don't know if it's leaking oil or burning it and I don't know how to tell. Please help!!!

With the oil pan tight now drive and see if it gets low.If light is still on,you may have destroyed oil pump.These engines with proper care are good to 300,000 miles.
