Once you read this, i know, you will be thinking... stupid driver! And yes, in the situation i was. But otherwise am a good driver, everyone makes mistakes, even stupid ones. Anyways... I drove over a curb in a parking lot. I totally forgot it was there. When the car got completely over it stalled, or maybe it just shut off, i can't remember. I turned it off, and a few minutes later i turned it back on again. Everything seemed okay, and I drove the 6-8 miles back home without any noticeable problems. i don't want to tell my husband unless it is completely necessary. Do you think I should be okay? I've looked under the car and see nothing hanging down or anything dripping. Thanks.

  1. The short answer is that you are probably OK.

However I can almost guarantee the alignment is off, which will lead to your tires wearing erratically and early. Somewhere down the line this will cost ya.

  2. the other guy said the alignment was definitely off but he was not there nor was i. so take it with a grain of salt.

  3. Even though you might not see damage to your car, dosen't mean that it is not there.  If you didn't see any fluids leaking from your car this morning, that is a good sign.  If you still don't want to tell your husband about it, you can simply take it to a car shop that has a lift system, and have them lift up the car so you can see what is underneath to double check for damages, and you can play it off as getting a oil change.

  4. it should be ok. ill tell you how to get out of it, let him drive it and if it breaks down, tell him he was driving.lol

  5. you should be fine if there is nothing leaking or making noise your fine but i would tell him and joke about it my wife drove over a curb at 30 m/h and it hit down on the side of her car and made a dent under the door and it was only 6 mouths old i wasn't mad i just laughed most cars today have some guard or something before you get to the oil pan because this does happen more then you think
