If not what do i do with a car with a bad engine?

  1. The first thing I would do is take the car to another mechanic and have them look at it to make sure it needs a motor.  If you really like the car it probably wouldn't hurt anything to put another 1000 in it since you already have so much into it.  I would think you would have a hard time getting your money back otherwise.

    Good luck with it!

  2. SCARP IT OR SELL IT FOR PARTS.

  3. I would consider getting another car. It sounds like the car will keep needing repairs. You will begin to pour good money into bad if you keep fixing this car. If I were to get rid of it I would warn the prospective buyer of the problem or I would sell the car to a junk yard. I say buy yourself something you have always wanted and took good care of it.
