Is my cat crazy or just kidding around?

Okay I have this cat, well I have 3 but anyway, she is about 7 years old. She follows me just about everywhere, she whines at the door if I close it. She will constantly rub up against my legs, and she will always meow when I come over to pet her. Her food and water and litter box are changed daily, so that's not the problem. Why does she constantly follow me around? Is she crazy?

my little cat does the same, his not even a year yet!!! like even when i go to the toilet he'll jump on my lap for scratches and i have to shim off! i wake up every morning and his curled up in my arm or on my back, he always meows (like talking) when i walk up to him or vise versa just everywhere i go he follows and if i call him he comes straight away, he seriously acts like a dog!.. I think its soooo cute.. so your cat isn't crazy at all. she just thinks your her mum and she loooooves you :-)

My cat got named shadow for the same reason. Some just like to be near people. Get them cat toys with cat nip in it and that will give them something to do and not be "glued" to you

She Likes you!  That's wonderful.  My boy cat has a fit if he can't follow us.  If there is a closed door between us and him, he gets frantic.

Cats are VERY smart animals, she may be in heat, if shes not spayed, and may be trying to convince u to let her outside... keep her in doors if shes not spayed, for a fwe days.. until she calms down.

if this only happens every once in a while, she may be in heat...

but other than that she may just want more attention 8)
