  1. Since cat flu is viral, it cannot be cured; rather, the cat's body must fight off the infection, which takes around 3-14 days. However, there are a number of supportive treatments which may help the cat fight the infection and which can certainly make the cat feel more comfortable

i lost my 15 year old cat a week today, she died from the flu,i started off with a few herbal remedies which didn't work, and I'm sorry to say took her to the vets too late..please take your kitten to the vets, beg steal or borrow the money, but please don't leave it too late like i did trying to save a few pounds.

  2. yeah, i think she's sick. just keep an eye on her, and if it gets any worse then you take her to the vet. don't feel rushed to do it. i have seen plenty of cats with the same symptoms.

  3. Cats don't get sick from humans. Loving her, petting her and kissing her are wonderful, but that won't help her to get better.  Take her to the vet as soon as possible. Good luck.

Just wondering, is she up to date on all her shots?

  4. take her to the vet sounds like shes getting a upper respiratory infection which can get bad very fast!!

  5. Take the kitten to the doctor/vet.

  6. yes cats get sick from human colds and fevers and other simple sicknesses. your cat got it from u and you need to take it to the vet asap.

  7. She might have an upper respiratory infection which a lot of kittens get take her to the vet.

  8. It sounds like a cold. You should keep an eye on her, but if her eyes start to water and she doesn't show much interest in eating you shouldefinitely to the vet.  Here are some signs on how to identify whether you kitty is sick:

*has a dull or patchy coat

    *is suddenly not grooming herself

*has not eaten for 24 hours

    *has prolonged diarrhea

    *has persistent and severe vomiting

    *has red or watery eyes

    *has nasal discharge or sneezing

*strains to urinate, has bloody urine or frequent urine, is anxious or crying around the litter box.

Hopefully this will help a little bit... Hope your kitty gets better!

  9. She has a respiratory infection.  If she keeps sneezing for another day, take her to the vet fast.  It can develop into pneumonia or a very serious infection.  It can be cured easily with anti-biotic pills from the vet.  The pills and vet visit can be expensive but it will only get more expensive if you wait and her life could be in danger.

I hope you and your kitten feel better soon.  I have the same cold..  sore throat, sneezing, stuffed/runny nose..  starting to get a cough now.  Not fun. :(

  10. Cats can't catch sicknesses from Humans, because their body temperatures are higher. The virus that you got couldn't have survived inside a cat, just like any viruses that cats get can't go into humans. It does sound like she has some sort of cold though. I have a kitten, and she gets colds once a month it seems. It's just something that happens with any young mammal. As long as she's drinking, you probably don't have to worry too much. If she stops drinking for a whole day, however, take her to the vet as soon as you possibly can. It would probably be a good idea to take her to a vet if she doesn't seem to be improving after a few days.

    Hope she feels better soon!
