  1. For all of us cat lovers out here, PLEASE update us on your kitty's outcome!!!!

Good luck, I hope she's okay!

  2. bring him to the vet asap!

  3. Take him to the vet NOW!

One of my cats died of a bone fracture in her leg.  Rare but true.  The sharp bit of bone inside her leg cut her artery. If I had taken her to the vet sooner things may have been different.  It just hadn't occurred to me then that her limp may have been a major symptom.  She didn't even seem to be in any pain.

I'M NOT TRYING TO SCARE YOU BUT IT COULD BE SERIOUS.  For all you know he may of been hit with a car or some horrible child kicked him or any number of dangerous things.

Or it could just be a simple sprain from jumping out of a tree and everything will be ok...

  4. VET ASAP

  5. Please call a vet.

His leg may lnot be broken but wrenched which means it its very sore.  Or maybe somebody hit him on his back with a broom,  This causes the poor cat lots of discomfort.   Or maybe a piece of furniture fell on him or maybe he slipped and pulled  muscle like what happens to us humans sometimes.

I would try to keep my cat warm by ptting some old sweater over hisbackand the keg that hurts.  Good Luck

  6. Well, you should go to the vet bcause it sounds like somthing is wrong with his leg.

  7. Take him to the vet ASAP. Something's obviously wrong with his leg.

  8. noone can be sure over the net,i'd take him to the vets to get him checked out it may just be a splinter of he mey very well have a broken leg hope he gets better soon

  9. If he is putting little or no pressure on a leg after 24 hours, it's not a simple injury that will get better on its own and he needs a vet.  Period.

  10. Take to the vet ASAP just in case it's serious, and hopefully it's not!

When I behaved this way for my mom, it's because I had an abscess. It was sooo painful I could barely walk, but I didn't complain or meow or anything, I just came home and laid down. I didn't even want to eat and drink. The vet knew right away and lanced it and lots of puss came out and they put a funky drain in my leg for a week plus antibiotics to swallow, and then I was fine. It might also be broken, or something else, but the bottom line is that your beloved kitty needs your help if he's acting strange. If you can't afford the emergency vet on a Sunday, watch him closely and take him to your regular vet tomorrow.

  11. Hi Lexie. Before we jump to the conclusion that he has a broken leg, have you checked his paw pads, nails etc to make sure that he hasn't got a thorn or prickle in his paw, torn or got a cut on one of the pads on his paw, caught his nail and tore it out of it's bedding? It's worth you checking him over yourself first! Then, if you cannot find any of these, check firther up the leg as another cat or dog could have scratched or bitten him, if any of these are the case then he needs veterinary assistance as he will need an antibiotic shot to stop infection and possibly some sutures.

If you can't see any of these then your kitty could have either bruised, sprained or broken his leg due to landing too hard on it or had a near miss with a vehicle.

The best thing to do, whatever he may have done to his leg/paw, is take him for a vet check up, as soon as possible, just to make sure, and to get him the correct treatment for his hurt paw and put your mind at ease.

Good luck at the vets and hope he makes a quick recovery from whatever is causing his lameness.....all the best.
