My corn snake is about 12-13 months old she eats two small hopper mice or two large fuzzy miceevery 7days .Yesterday she shed and the skin was 36 inches long. The mice are perfect for her size. What is about the average size for a corn snake that age .No she is not overwieght. And is measuring the lenght of a shed basicly like measuring the snake (give or take a cm),or is the skin steched too far to be consider about the lenght.

  1. Power feeding is VERY unhealthy for snakes, and will shorten their life span.

Don't judge how long the snake is from it's shed either, especially when the shed is wet, my corn snake has has sheds that when wet are over a foot longer than she is!

http://www.serpwidgets.com/Apps/measure.... that is an awesome program for measuing snakes.

  2. nope cus all three of mine (the youngest being 2-3 yrs) are all over 5 feet long!

i do whats called power feeding

it doesnt necessarily make your snake fat but makes them grow larger and longer faster

i work in a vet office and always ask the vet if what i am doin is ok

and they gave me their approval

so whatever you're doin is great

    as crazy as it sounds

my biggest one who is 5 ft 4 in is about 4-5 in thick

and loves feeding on small rats!
