  1. It's a 28 day cycle.  You count August 3 as day 1 and count until you reach the next first day of bleeding.  So if you start on August 31, you'd count through August 30 to day 28 and then start on August 31st and with day 1.

  2. *29 days*

You count CD1 (cycle day one) as the first day of your period. You count all the way until the first day of bleeding in the next period - this would make it a full 29-days :]

  3. looks like 29. You count the first day of bleeding as day one so 29 days after that is the 31st

  4. 28 day cycle.

First day of bleeding is always "Day 1", so you would be bleeding on "Day 29", which would then change to "Day 1" because it was your first day of bleeding.  So, again, it's a 28 day cycle.  That's exactly 4 weeks, which means you'll have your period on the same day (like a Sunday), exactly every 4 weeks.  The same thing happens when you're on b/c pills.  You have a 28 day cycle and have your period on the same say of the week each time.

In the end though, it doesn't really matter whether you call it 28-day cycle or 29-day cycle.  As long as you know when to expect it.
