My daughter's birthday is September 20th. Is this too long before Halloween to have a themed party? She loves Halloween and would love to have a spooky party but I don't want to do anything tacky.

  1. go for it! October would only be a week away.

  2. No just call it a costume party. Its her party so if thats they way she wants to have it let her.

  3. Having a costume party or Spooky party is completely appropriate.  Look at it this way, at least your guests will be able to get their money's worth by wearing the costume twice!

  4. If she wants a Halloween themed party, why not? :)  My eldest son's birthday is on August 1st and he wanted a Halloween party when he was 5yo (he LOVES Halloween, even more then Christmas, lol) and we had a ball and so did everyone else.  IMO, it's never tacky if it's what your daughter wants.

  5. WHY NOT CALL IT A MASQUERADE PARTY INSTEAD?

  6. Absolutely not! If my son(April) wanted a Halloween party, he would get one. Besides, the party guests will LOVE it!

  7. It's too early for an actual Halloween party. You could have a regular b-day party on her B-day & have a Halloween party at Halloween. Good luck!

  8. I always used to have halloween parties as a kid, but my birthday is oct 24th. My suggestion is do the celebration party like the second week of october, that way it is closer to halloween and not to far from her actual birthday...or just celebrate a month later anyway

  9. I wouldn't bill it as a "Holloween" or "Spooky Party" since it is too early for that.  Maybe you could do a party where everyone is supposed to dress as their favorite villain (a Villain Party), or tell them to come dressed as their evil twin, or a superhero party, etc.  You get the idea.

  10. go for it! if she likes halloween her friends prob do to!

  11. sorry but yes, how old is she going to be ????

DO something like Dora, My Little Pony, all pink, all purple, or all yellow something like like if she is going to be 2 and up choose 2 or 3 themes you like and then let her pick her fav

  12. Not creepy halloween but cute halloween with happy pumpkins and fun bright stuff...
