Question:

Is my dog painting good enough for a charity auction for a rescue?

I made a painting of one of the dogs at their rescue. They are having a live and silent auction fundraiser. Personally I think it totally sucks but I might add a back ground. Please be brutally honest- is it worth auctioning? Here it is:http://www.flickr.com/photos/animalguardian/?saved=1

Any tips?

By the way, could you please check out SCARS (Second chance animal rescue society)?:http://www.scarscare.org/ -they do amazing work.

Thanks in advance! God bless

  1. Please don't be offended but I had to laugh when I saw it. But I'm sure someone would buy it for like $10 if you added a background.

  2. You said to be brutally honest well it sucks and it looks wonderful at the same time I am glad that you are doing it for a good cause but it's worth auctioning  if your doing it for animals. SO AUCTION IT!

  3. I think its really cute!  Good for you for doing something so awesome to help animals!

  4. well... honestly it looks like the work of a 10 year old. BUT... you could have great talent for an artist! Wonderfull for someone sooo young!!!!

What state is the shelter located???? I am pretty interested in Cliff....if he is nearby!

  5. Take it to a frame shop, and have them help you frame it.  Before you pick anything out, explain that it is for a charity auction, and ask if they will donate the framing.  You will have to get the tax ID number from SCARS, but chances are, the shop will do it for you.

It has a lot of joy in it, and it's very cute - great for the kitchen or office of someone who has dogs.  You'll be surprised - you should get some bids!  But it'll be much more saleable in a frame, so all they have to do is hang it up.

You should write up something about adopting this dog -

Great job!  You should paint more, too - it's very good (and my family is filled with artists - real professionals, and no, not houses...)

  6. It's....OK.... take in some more detail here's a link on how to draw a basic dog face...  it's actually a whole dog... and it's manga but it's adorable, take it into concideration!

It's pretty good, depends on how old you are.

  7. No personally I don't but that is just me.

  8. It kinda sux, sorry, but you wanted us to be honest, weeeeellllll if you want a good painting then draw with pencil first, and get a wide ver/ of paint colours, dont be affraid, no matter how it looks while its being painted, wait until your finished, and you can never add too much detail.

    hope that helps!

    pleeeeaaaase give me ten points!
