She has bigger nipples she is begging (but she does this from time to time anyway) she is more affectionate i think her tummy is a bit bigger she is sleeping mostly during the day but wants to play at night but she has not had morning sickness. A dog got her about 5 weeks ago but the man said he had been done so i did not worry but i am now if she is pregnant and does give birth will she be alright with my new puppy she is only 10 weeks today. By the way this was not planned and i didn't want to breed her she has only had one season and it is her last she is only 14 months old i now they should be at least 2 and ever since the dog got her and i have taking her for walks she pulls and pulls me to go back home why? she does this where ever i take her

  1. Could be a false pregnancy but i would take her to the vet to be sure. That's the only way to know. If he confirms pregnancy then it's time to decide: spay and abort or let her have the pups. I always vote spay and abort, especially if the pregnancy is not planned.

  2. You need to take her to the vet for a check-up if you are not sure, and particularly since your dog is far too young to be having puppies.  If the male dog was castrated she can't be pregnant by him!  Is it likely she has been in contact with any other male dog?  Maybe you shouldn't have taken your dog out when she was in season, did you let her off the lead?

Don't think dogs suffer with 'morning sickness'.  But sleeping during the day and begging or even having a slightly fat tummy are not necessarily signs of pregnancy; I have a 14 month old and she sleeps a lot during the day; has mad moments in the evening; and she begs too.

Perhaps the encounter with the male dog was a bit scary for her and that is why she pulls to go back home. Or it could be a behaviour problem, at 14 months she is now adult and could be deciding on who should be pack leader and is testing you out!  Don't give in, she must do what you say and go where you say; or she will take over the house and you will end up with an unruly dog!

  3. Well, if the man said the dog was neutered, then it's probably a false pregnancy. Obviously it isn't too hard to tell if a male is neutered so there shouldn't be any excuses for breeding your dog.

What you need to do is be a responsible pet owner and get her spayed since this was 'not planned'. Look online for Shelters that do it for low cost if you must. They can do it even if the dog is pregnant (like an abortion.) You should have done so ALONG time ago.
