Question:

Is my evidence good enough to win a case against someone who assaulted me?

I have no witnesses, because the person I was with was the one who set me up and the other two were the ones doing the assaulting. All I have are pictures of my face and body from the next day and a very detailed account of what happened. Just wondering if I needed to go through the trouble of acquiring a search warrant for a text conversation with the one who set me up or not. Thank you!!

  1. if you filed a police report then go ahead and try

  2. As a woman your testimony gets a lot of weight with law enforcement. If you were subjected to some sort of mind-altering drug or rape then by all means report it. If you haven't managed to save any of the DNA you may still have a good case.

Don't let anyone get away with this s&^+! Turn them in and testify as to what happened!

  3. That is just awful.  Hopefully you have made out a police report and stated the facts of what happened.  I would not let this one go.

    Best of luck to you.

  4. The more evidence you have, the better your chances.

Don't tell anyone about the text message until the warrant is served.
