Question:

Is my ex supposed to pay for child's braces?

On my stipulation it stays that my ex is supposed to pay 100% of what the insurance company doesn't pay out in health care. Does that include dental? When I asked my ex to pay for child's braces, he refused stating he does not have to pay. Is this true? Isn't health care dental also?

  1. NO, You are suppose to pay.Sorry but that is what child support is, Its for the child not you.

  2. I don't think so because braces are cosmetics.

  3. Health care and dental are generally considered separate.  I wouldn't be surprised if you were intentionally led to believe during the divorce that dental would be included, even though it wasn't the case.
