Question:

Is my eye infected or am I just paranoid?

Today in school, my right eye felt like there was something in it and as I checked in the mirror, there was actually something (a tiny lump) under the right corner of my eyelid.

I wear contacts and I know it increases our risk of getting an infection by a lot. However, my eye isn't red nor is it seeping out with anything.

If it was an infection, would I have to go get it cut out? Can that make me blind?

Worried sick...

  1. It's hard to say, but it's always a good idea to see a doctor if your worried about it.

  2. Don't worry about it , although it may be hard not to. It is probably a stye. Alot of people get them, it's not uncommon. Go to  GOOGLE and type in  stye.  I have had them myself. It will not make you blind and it will go away!!!  Don't worry .

  3. Maybe it's a stye (infected eyelash).

  4. no it is kind of fats on eyelid help to protect your eyes from infection by making a lump

it can be remove by hot (warm) compresses

    i hope that help

  5. Eyes are very important to us...it cannot play play... You found a tiny lump, is it red? or do you feel any itchy? If YES, please go and see a doctor, I am afraid your right eye is infected by bacteria.

If it is light infected, the doctor will give you eye drop to wash your eyes, to clear your infection. No need to cut off, unless very serious.

Before you go to see doctor, please check your eye properly and ask some of the questions like:

Is it red? is it itchy? is the lump grow bigger? Have I wash my hand before I take off my contact lens? See things clear?.....etc

If you are okay, take it easy, and please don't paranoid!!
