Is my female betta ready to mate or not?

ok so i plan to breed my pair of bettas and i have done my research dont worry and just when i thought i hit the jackpot since my female was finally displaying her breeding bars i released her the male nipped her twice then she displayed stress lines D<

is this normal should i leave them in there the male has made the bubble nest he is all prepared but the female is not showing the breeding pars she has the white dot showing and filled with eggs

should i leave her in there or not? and if yes are the bushy plants i put in for her protection ok in the tank when they embrace if they do?

i have many bushy plants and no lecturing please i just want the answers

  1. Yes leave her in there,it`s normal to have some nipping,and the plants will be good..


  2. Sometimes the female is sowing bars and not ready to lay her eggs. That happened to me, I took her out and conditioned her for another week, then tried the pair again and they spawned! So try conditioning her a little longer!

  3. i agree, take her back out and try again when she shows her breeding bars. it sounds like you know what you are doing so the best of luck to you.
