  1. Birds lay eggs, they dont really  get pregnat if you will.

  2. Usually they go through a nesting time. Where they build a nest.  Do you have a nest box for her?  If nothing happens in the next few days , I would take her to a Avian vet to make sure she is not egg bound, that can kill her.  Usually you don't see the eggs inside, although Quakers are smaller birds. Don't wait too long.

  3. Birds show a small swelling right above their vent when they

have a developed egg. DO NOT touch there, you could break the egg, IF she has one that would kill her.

If she is an adult and if she is in fact a female and if in fact there is an adult male caged with her, you need to provide a bird nest box and nestling material for her right away.

This should have been furnished when you first noticed any swelling or when she saw them breed, if you did.

However, IF this swelling in actually in her breast area, rather than vent ( where birds p**p from) chances are she has a tumor.

If she has a developed egg her droppings/p**p will be larger than normal and mis-shaped and a slimy green mess appearing dropping - and she wouldn't be eating or moveing as normal.

Can the breeder where you bought this bird as ask for help.

Some times birds can be egg bound, meaning they can't expell the egg. If this is in fact the case, or if you think it is a tumor, she must be seen by a vet that works with alot of birds, or an avian vet as soon as you can get her there.

Location of what you are seeing should be correct when you talk with the vet so he/she can better advise you.
