Is my ferret *gasp* stupid?

Question

Dumas is a deaf and adorable old ferret. he's about three years old now. he's just as sweet as he can be. but... i think he's well... stupid! for example, when i first got him, he slept in the litter box. he crawled up people's pants while they were wearing them. he's quite lazy but when another ferret walks by them, he jumps on top of them! he sometimes drinks his pee, although he hasn't done it in awhile... i read in "ferrets for dummies" that some ferrets simply like to drink their urine but my other two are i guess too smart to enjoy drinking urine. he does a lot of other things that remind me of a stupid human. is Dumas a stupid ferret, or is his strangeness normal? i love him to death, but... i worry that maybe there's something wrong with him...

Well if you read it that ferrets sometimes drink their pee in the book, then I guess there isn't really much that's wrong with him. He's probably the most curious pet you'd ever have. :P

Aww, haha, he sounds so cute! He sounds normal to me. I think my puppy is stupid all the time. He tries to eat his vomit, he walks into doorframes, he goes and looks for you when you're sitting right there. Maybe, we all have stupid pets! Haha!

It sounds like he is just a playful and silly ferret with a distinct personality. Nothing to worry about at all. I believe if he was actually retarded, you'd know right off and so would whoever sold him to you.

A ferett is a rodent,and if you want a rodent to be smart you have to train them.Have you done this? You could teach him to jump through a hoop,walk a tightrope etc.Then you could have an Alexander Dumas

circus.

I just got a new ferret named Godzilla, and he too, slept in the litter box. And my other ferret Yume loves to climb inside of pants legs, they resemble tunnels, and ferrets originally live underground... in tunnels, so it's actually quite normal.
