Question:

Is my final mark correct, and in accordance with my grades?

My grades are:

98 95 92 88 and 82

Those are them all, and our teacher already said what our final mark would consist of.

Yet, my final mark was a 75

How did this happen?

  1. Is this just test scores? Did you have homwork assignments? How about any special grades, projects? How they all add up and come out to a final grade makes a big difference.

  2. Are you sure that is all your final mark consist of?  If it is, then the final mark should not be a 75.

  3. I have no idea how a teacher could get 75 when you have all scores in the 90s and 80s.

If you divide the total of your scores by 6 instead of 5- you get 75.83.

Perhaps the teacher made a mistake and entered 6 instead of 5 while calculating??

I would definitely ASK WHAT HAPPENED. If the teacher is unwilling to recalculate the final mark, then go immediately to the administration of the school and ask for assistance.
