Is my freswater aquarium over stuffed?

20 gallons-2 guppies, 6 white clouds, 2 ram chilids, 2 dwarf gouramis, and 1 baby Discus.

  1. nah u cant really overstock a fresh water one..


  2. You can possibly overstock freshwater aquariums.....I think you may be fine, I'm not experienced with the types of buddies you have...what I would do is research the types of fish you have. Many sites will tell you the minimum tank size of each fish.

    and white cloud mountain minnows really do allot better in coldwater

  5. as i keep discus, discus should not be kept in any water that has not been purified using an R.O. Unit

    it could eventually get 'over stuffed' as discus are very large fish and require a certain amount of room.  also, you could stunt the discus growth if it is kept in a small environment.  but apart from that i think that what you have should be ok as long as you keep doing your frequent water changes and cleaning your filter out and keeping the lower part of your aquarium clean so that nitrite (fish poo, etc) does not build up and cause problems in your aquarium.
