Question:

Is my friend addicted to s*x?

My friend says she thinks about s*x almost every 5 minutes and that she "takes care" of herself up to 4 times a day, even at work. She has a boyfriend and I know they do it almost every day. Please don't be judgmental, I'm trying to help her. Could this be a potential problem or is it healthy if it does not interfere with her life?

  1. its not unhealthy. too much sexual tension will cause her to blow up. Maybe four times is alot but i don't think she has anything to worry about.

  2. your'e friend is addicted and you need to explain to her that is a bit unhealthy.

  3. I think she is addicted to s*x but I dont think its pysicaly unhealthy mabey mentaly

  4. yeah she sounds like a ho, but besides that maybe she was sexually abused or something? sounds like she has issues with masturbation, that's a little strange for a female up to 4x day, wow! Does she work? Or do anything else but m********e all day? the boyfriend s*x everday is pretty normal for a new relationship,I don't think you should talk to her she might get offended

  6. Yea I would say she is addicted.  Its one thing to think about it and another to react to your emotions and feelings everytime you think about it.  It is interferring with her life.  I mean she is doing it at work.  Even if she wasnt doing it at work to act upon it 4 or 5 times a day is a s*x addict.   She needs to admit her problem and seek help.  If nothing else she can join a s*x addiction forum online and talk to others that want help to address their problem.

  7. Hi,

It sounds like you really care for you friend. Sexual addiction can be an extremely difficult thing to admit. It is often mired in secrecy so the addict feels they have no place to turn for help. s*x in an addicts life has become a compulsion and they no longer take a healthy approach to sexual relations. People don't realize how much it affects their lives. Many times they won't know they have a problem until they have bottomed out by getting caught by a spouse or arrested. The good news is that there is help available to the addict who suffers due to their compulsive sexual behavior. There are quizzes one can take help determine if they have a problem.

There are 12 step programs available to help people get control of their lives. People with addictions need to know they are not alone. Many people have sought and recovered from all sorts of addictions. I hope you are able to help your friend.

    I hope this helps.
