Is my friend dyslexic?

He had trouble reading when he was young, but is okay now.

His most major problem is that he was learning a new language for like, 7 years now and today cannot even understand what books in that language are saying, and in passages, can only understand the most basic words.

He is 13 this year.

The only reason I'm helping him is because I have a crush on him and he is hot and cute...

Probably not, but a lot of the neural pathways that permit language learning are used up. He will always have a rough time with the new language.
