Is my friend right about Barrack Obama?

Okay so I was arguing with my friend because I want Obama to win the presidency and he wants McCain to win. He said that Barrack said he is a socialist, and I replied by calling him an idiot.

Just to make sure I didn't make myself look foolish, did Barrack really say he is a socialist?

Do not answer with bullsh*t like "Go McCain" or "Go Obama."

I simply want to know if he actually said that.

Yea he did say it. Seriously in reality for this Election John McCain is a Democrat and Obama is a Socialist there isn't any good conservatives at all.

obama never said that he's socialist, that would be political suicide. however, if you look at his proposed policies and voting record in the senate you'll see that he is at least doing a very good impression of being a socialist.

If Obama was a socialist, then he would completely re-furnish the American political system completely. He's just humanistic in his policies, not socialistic.
