Is my friends fish sick or pregnant? And does mine have tail and fin rot?

A friend of mine has many fish, goldfish and Koi, and i noticed that one of their fishes abdomen seems to be enlarged or swelling. They think that the fish is pregnant, but just to be sure, I was wondering if there could be a problem with the fish?

Also, I also have a pond with goldfish and koi, and on the tips of one of my fishes tail and fins is black, its moving around too much so i cannot tell if it is really deteriorated but i would assume so.. could this mean that he/she has tail and fin rot? I have separated it from the rest of the fish, just in case, but is there anything else i can do to cure him?

I'm sorry this is so long, but I'm juts really worried.

Okay, Koi and Goldfish don't get pregnant. The females can carry eggs, that's about it. They usually start spawning around spring so its a little late for it to be a female carrying eggs. Koi and Goldfish can suffer from dropsy. Its usually an incurable disease that causes bloating and causes their scales to stick out, giving them a "pine-coned" appearance when viewed from above. Black edged fins can be anything from their coloring to the advanced stages of finrot. If it was in a tank I suggest heavy filtration, regular water changes, and the addition of 1tbsp of aquarium salt per 5 gallons.

bloated koi check if it is a male or female then check for scales to sticking out if none then your koi is carrying eggs you need a male to release those eggs I heard koi dies if those eggs are not realsed.

if it is found that scales sticking out then it is dropsy you need antibiotic to cure it.
