Is my gerbil bored?

Question

Does anyone have any ideas of something cheap to entertain my gerbil?

run-about-balls

tunnels (you can buy them or drill holes in untreated 4x4 lumber)

dust baths

chew toys (you can buy them or use wood, toilet paper tubes, or cardboard boxes)

DON'T use anything plastic, because gerbils can chew through them fast & swallow them which can cause intestinal problems.  Oh, & don't use anything with moving parts.  Your poor little gerbil could catch his tail in it!

Well...toliet paper tubes or any other cardboard  box if always fun for them! Newspaper or paking paper is also a good idea...your gerbil may like to run on a wheel or run in a ball, these can be found in pet stores! Gerbils love to climb and chew and run...so anything that could fit those needs would be good...my gerbils, i found, absoulutly love sunflower seeds {unsalted, unroasted} they love to tear them open then eat the seeds, this can be done with pumpkin seeds also! Popsicle sticks and twigs are another good idea for gerbils. They love to chew on wood, it also helps their teeth!! Hope thats enough!

for my gerbil, i give him ping pong balls to roll around (he loves them! haha), toilet paper rollsto chew on, and he runs in his wheel alot. Plus, occasionally, i move around the bedding in his cage differently than he likes it so that during the day, he puts it all back. it gives him something to do.
